Strengthened by Joy through fun & fellowship with faithful friends!

Overwhelmed by the abundant blessings that have been poured out on our family! I am beyond humbled and grateful to all of you for your love and support! There are countless names on my “thank you” list...I can’t even begin to include all the names of you who have called, texted, send cards, dropped off “love” at our doorstep, brought over amazing meals for our family, showed up in every way possible! BIG love and thanks to ALL of you and to God for you! This is how our Maker created it to be.  He promises to be with and for us wherever we go, whatever we do.. My Heavenly Father has used so many of you as His hands & feet to fulfill His promises to be with me and provide in over-the-top ways!

“Blessed is the (wo)man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.  He is like a tree planted by water (the Living Water of His life-giving Word!) that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, & is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-10

I trust in the Lord and He has blessed abundantly!

“This I call to mind, & therefore I have hope: the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” the Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him” Lamentations 3:21-25

A group of dear friends came over last Friday to just bless my socks off! They brought a load of tangible and practical gifts (their presence being the best one!) such an amazing day of fun and fellowship! And I felt great, praise the Lord, so I was able to fully participate in and enjoy it all to the full! They brought over an awesome new juicer, with all the ingredients to set me up with a week’s worth of nutrient rich juice, poured into individual mason jars for easy enjoying! They made it with my boys, teaching them how to make it for me next time! So cool! They brought over little caddies, one for upstairs and another for down, filled with all the necessary supplies to clean the bathrooms ...and a little review lesson of ‘how to’😁 how awesome is that! Another talented, hairdresser friend cut my falling-out hair into a little bob to help me deal with it before our Shaving Party next week when my sisters come out! Another beautiful, fashionable friend brought over fun, colorful scarves to cover my ‘soon-to-be’ bald head and showed us all (including my 17 yo son😄) how to wear them, my accountability group (a group of dear friends who’ve been meeting together for 15 years!) brought over power washers and cleaned all my outdoor furniture and helped with anything else that needed to be done, picked up, put away! They researched thoroughly online and in person to figure all the items that would be helpful for me during treatment and had all their findings layer out displayed on the table. This was a labor of love on behalf of so many who contributed, wanting to show their practical as well as prayer support! How can I begin to express the fullness of my gratitude to and for you all who were a part of it in person or in spirit, directly or indirectly, in deed or desire to support! Even my sweet niece was up from San Diego to spend the day with us-such a blessing! And my sweet boy (hubby) brought everyone Starbucks to help show our  appreciation!
My heart was full to overflowing from the abundant blessings from the Lord! How He provides through His willing, available kids!

“The joy of’ the Lord is my strength!” Amen!

God is Good!

Well I’m finally back. I have written SO many mental posts with updates and what’s God been teaching me!! Then when I finally get a minute to actually take them out of my mind and onto the screen, my mind bottlenecks and gets overwhelmed with all I want & need to write...it exhausts me & I end up concluding that I’m too tired and don’t have time to transcribe all that’s in my mind onto digital paper. But as I sit here alone at the Denver airport on a long layover en route to Atlanta to celebrate my sisters 50th, I’m starting! We both have September birthdays, hers being on the 10th. We decided to save the celebrating til my chemo was complete, hence the delayed timing of the trip. My younger sister who lives here in Colorado is on her way to meet me and we’ll fly this leg if the trip together! And my parents are traveling from Michigan to meet us as well! How crazy (& sad!) that we are all spread out across the country, coast to coast, north to south- we are so close r...

Song in my Soul

Song in my Soul by Phil Wickham A dear friend sent this to me with her daily encouragement & prayer...I loved it from the first time I heard it! I hope you will too! There's a song in my soul ( how music goes deep into the core of who we are!) And I feel it stirring in me ( springing up from the well of His Word to satisfy the thirsty, he who drinks the Living Water will never thirst again!) This I know for sure ( faith is the assurance of what we know but don’t see) That Your love is like a flood ( washing & washing over me ! And Your mercy never ending ( “ The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬)  I give my song to You ( “ Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants...Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastl...
