Worship Wednesday

Ok I have to flip flop Weekly Update Wednesday &
Thanksgiving Thursday. As much as it was going to kill me, I was just going to flip the alliterative descriptor to the other day (i e. Thanksgiving Wednesday) but my dear sweet friend, Jenny, told me “No! You just have to come up with another name for it that works!” Bossy! (Just like my other dear amazing trauma nurse friend who yelled at me to put a mask on across the grassy hill at Salt Creek Beach where we hold our church youth group, True North, Beach Nights during the summer. SO fun to lead & love on these kids together!!) Wednesdays will now be Worship Wednesday as the information to update will come Thursday with my weekly chemo appointments so I’m moving Thanksgiving Thursday to Wednesday & calling it Worship Wednesday bc we’re called to “Rejoice always, pray continually, & give thanks in ALL circumstances!” Our thanksgiving is an act of worship, recognizing God as the Giver of all good & perfect gifts, tangible, untouchable & eternal! How the TenBoom Sisters in the Hiding Place demonstrated this in praising Him for even for the fleas cthat infested to already nasty sleeping quarters bc it kept the guards at bay and allowed them to read, teach & praise God for His Word each day! Each day brings with it the endless, unchanging, eternal reasons as well as the abundance of earthly blessings right beneath our nose, under our toes and all around us if we chose!

Today I thank God for...
The amazing sunset tonight, Gods masterpiece painted afresh on the horizon each night!
And eyes to see it!
My boys- the sheer joy and refining challenge they are
And arms to hug them!
And cozy, comfy bed to snuggle into for a restful night sleep and a sweet boy (hubby) to snuggle up next to
Music!! And the endless variety of it!
And ears to hear it! As well as a patient listener ear
Books to better our lives...most of the God’s Book that holds the words of life and how to have our names written in the Book of Life!
The cure to the deadliest disease of all, sin, that plagues us all!
Wisdom from His Word as we discussed tonight from the sermon on Proverbs 9 “Wisdom has built her house (a firm foundation that comes from...) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:1, 10‬ ‭
And a godly husband who is full of it!...it being wisdom as well as “it”, pure rascal!

Grateful & humble I head to bed😚

God is Good!

Well I’m finally back. I have written SO many mental posts with updates and what’s God been teaching me!! Then when I finally get a minute to actually take them out of my mind and onto the screen, my mind bottlenecks and gets overwhelmed with all I want & need to write...it exhausts me & I end up concluding that I’m too tired and don’t have time to transcribe all that’s in my mind onto digital paper. But as I sit here alone at the Denver airport on a long layover en route to Atlanta to celebrate my sisters 50th, I’m starting! We both have September birthdays, hers being on the 10th. We decided to save the celebrating til my chemo was complete, hence the delayed timing of the trip. My younger sister who lives here in Colorado is on her way to meet me and we’ll fly this leg if the trip together! And my parents are traveling from Michigan to meet us as well! How crazy (& sad!) that we are all spread out across the country, coast to coast, north to south- we are so close r...

Song in my Soul

Song in my Soul by Phil Wickham A dear friend sent this to me with her daily encouragement & prayer...I loved it from the first time I heard it! I hope you will too! There's a song in my soul ( how music goes deep into the core of who we are!) And I feel it stirring in me ( springing up from the well of His Word to satisfy the thirsty, he who drinks the Living Water will never thirst again!) This I know for sure ( faith is the assurance of what we know but don’t see) That Your love is like a flood ( washing & washing over me ! And Your mercy never ending ( “ The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬)  I give my song to You ( “ Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants...Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastl...
