(Yes I know it’s Monday- I got a little behind on my days. This girl needs a lot of grace these days! But I didn’t want to miss this for my own soul’s sake!)
I can’t tell you how often we’ll be driving in the car & I’ll just stop & exclaim “oh, I love this song!” Just ask my boys😄. This is definitely one of those that gets that reaction....”Oh My Soul” by Casting Crowns. Oh how it ministers to my soul!

Oh, how you're weary(how I wear myself out from the expectations I put on myself) from fearing you lost control (not that I ever had it!)
This was the one thing, you didn't see coming (that lump would be positive for cancer? @45? Yeap, pretty much the last thing I would’ve thought! I’ve always been blessed with such great health!)
And no one would blame you, though
If you cried in private (too many times! And mostly over regret & frustration with myself!)
If you tried to hide it away, so no one knows
No one will see, if you stop believing (only in myself but never in my God...but as I write that I see how that doesn’t even make sense! If my belief in God, the One true God, who He says He is & who He says I am as His beloved, redeemed child is unwavering, then I have to believe in precious promises He makes about me, the new creation He has made me to be and the transforming work His Holy Spirit is doing in & through me!)

I need to ask myself “what & whom do I fear?” and “What do I KNOW about my unchanging God?” He is the only thing/person in all creation that is worthy of my fear as the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent One!...yet in my unworthiness He loves me more than I can comprehend! My fear of Him is not a terrifying fear but a reverant, respectful awe of His unmatched glory & greatness, His unmerited Grace & goodness to me!)
One more day, He will make a way (His timing, His way, not mine! Which is always bigger & better!)
Let Him show you how, you can lay this down (“cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you! 1Peter 5:7. That whole passage is great!)

You can be honest (God knows our every thoughts anyway & understands them infinitely better than we do!
I won't try to promise that someday it all works out (It is a broken mess this side of heaven & eventually it all ends in death & destruction. Praise the Lord we have the hope of whole healing in heaven fo help us endure!)

'Cause this is the valley (we’ll all have them & we can’t appreciate the peaks without them! And we need them bc this is where needed growth & refinement happens!
And even now, He is breathing on your dry bones (praise the Lord for the promise of a perfect resurrection someday for those who have repented & places their faith in Him for salvation from the penalty of our sin!)

There will be beauty where beauty was ash and stone (He is the master at that!! How we’ve seen it over & over! Isaiah 61:3!)
