They’re keeping a close eye on my blood counts so I had to go in for labs Wednesday b4 my weekly chemo infusion on Thursday. My numbers got the “A-Ok”👍🏻 so I came back Thursday ready to go. They accessed my port, drew more blood & ran the numbers again. In just 24 hours they’d dropped significantly- the second week I had it checked 2 days in a row, first in the doctor’s office & then in the infusion center, & both times there was a distinct decrease. I chatted with my nurses about this and we thought it’d be interesting to “weigh them on the same scale” for kicks & credibility of the numbers 😊. They were comparable so we knew it was me not the machines. They proceeded with the bone-marrow battering chemo (but less pre-meds since I’m tolerating it well- woohoo! The less drugs in my body the better. Say “no” to drugs!) with orders with my oncologist to come back Friday & Monday for booster shots. So thankful it’s nice (literally it’s a beautiful brand-new building & everyone is very kind!)& close as feels like my second home🏠 . It’s like I am paying rent with all the medical bills 💵
