I’ll finish the details of the day later but wanted to share some great news before I “log off” & lights out! I didn’t have to go in yesterday to get poked for labs to check my levels, they just drew them this morning of my line after they accessed it (the numbing EMLA cream never really works but I’m getting used to the pokes. I can handle anything that only lasts for a second!). The nurse “ran the numbers” on the blood and they were good! Not low and not just “below normal but ok-ish enough”, they were normal!! PTL! Oh the little things in life that brings such joy! YAy! That means they get to keep pouring poison in my veins!
It’s all perspective, right?!
Went right from chemo to Memorial Breast Care Center for mid-treatment mammogram & ultrasound to check the progress of the tumor tear down! ...Full results pending but the lymph node looks little at least!!
Hitting the pillow after a full day! It started at 6:14 when I woke up before my alarm that was set for 6:20. It’s not the first time I’ve woken up about then but the first time in quite a while when I’ve actually gotten up! And this morning I decide not to wait the 6 minutes for my alarm but stay up since I didn’t want to wake up my hubby (who’d be up soon & I wanted to beat him to brewing!) & I’d already gotten up... to check the clock for how much for precious sleep time i had! But dreams came to an end and my dariair was in the air, up & moving...downstairs & onto the couch to listen to DBR (Daily Bible Reading as it’s affectionately known in our home). My sweet black lab always greets me & then we both settle in for some quiet time- I read or listen and he snuggles next to me while I do. This morning though he was panting like he’d just hiked the hills in this high noon heat! He kept pawing me to say “let’s go! I’m ready for a walk!” What happened to my chill dog?! Then I saw the answer...the empty brownie plate on the kitchen floor. While we all slept soundly in our beds, That stinker had reached up & grabbed the plate off the counter & proceeded to eat them all!
