Worship Wednesday 8/12

 I worship You, from whom all blessings flow, the Giver of ALL good & perfect gifts, for the blessed gifts of fabulous, fun & refining friends! And ALL the gifts they add to our lives in countless ways! Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the precious brothers & sisters You put in our path! Use us to equally bless them in return for Your glory & their good!

A few examples of great gifts You’ve given us... 

The myriad of friends that have brought over delicious, nutritious meals over the last few months! True statement from my middle son, Brody, “Mom, i know you had to take one for the team but these meals have been awesome!” All my boys are “foodies” & mom is not so this has been a total blessing to all of us!

My amazing friend & hostess with the mostest (& all those who’ve participated!) who has organized healthy cooking “parties” where friends come with healthy yummy cancer-fighting recipes to cook & fellowship. They give me an individual portion and take the rest home to their families! Such a brilliant blessing!

My multi-talented, famed former OC lifeguard, longtime chiropractor friend who’s helped “straighten me out” & detox my lymph nodes after treatment (& after my ankle injury)

All my fellow cancer-fighting friends who display such beauty & strength in the fight, exemplifying faith over fear & unwavering trust in the Great Physician, the Author & Perfecter of our faith!

Our fun friends with all the motorized toys who generously let us borrow their wave runners to enjoy an awesome family day out on the ocean! And scheduled a day to take us boating & wake-surfing! My boys (& their mama!) love this stuff!!

All my creative talented friends who’ve whipped up homemade lotions, deodorant, balm, EO blends, on-the -go snacks, sourdough bread (boys’ fav), etc, etc. 

Our sweet neighbor who kept offering to grocery shop & when she heard we loved 🍒 & 🍉, delivered some to our doorstep!

All those who’ve sent cards & notes to uplift my spirits, encourage my soul & bless my socks off! I’m saving them all to reread & be “re-blessed!” 

All those who’ve texted, called, dropped by with verbal, written & tangible gifts of love & care  

All my faithful, prayer-warrior friends...amen & amen!!

Etc, etc, etc!! Thank You, Lord!

God is Good!

 Well I’m finally back. I have written SO many mental posts with updates and what’s God been teaching me!! Then when I finally get a minute to actually take them out of my mind and onto the screen, my mind bottlenecks and gets overwhelmed with all I want & need to write...it exhausts me & I end up concluding that I’m too tired and don’t have time to transcribe all that’s in my mind onto digital paper. But as I sit here alone at the Denver airport on a long layover en route to Atlanta to celebrate my sisters 50th, I’m starting! We both have September birthdays, hers being on the 10th. We decided to save the celebrating til my chemo was complete, hence the delayed timing of the trip. My younger sister who lives here in Colorado is on her way to meet me and we’ll fly this leg if the trip together! And my parents are traveling from Michigan to meet us as well! How crazy (& sad!) that we are all spread out across the country, coast to coast, north to south- we are so close r...

Song in my Soul

  Song in my Soul by Phil Wickham A dear friend sent this to me with her daily encouragement & prayer...I loved it from the first time I heard it! I hope you will too! There's a song in my soul ( how music goes deep into the core of who we are!) And I feel it stirring in me ( springing up from the well of His Word to satisfy the thirsty, he who drinks the Living Water will never thirst again!)
