I’m still alive!

😄 I know I’ve been MIA for a while. I’m alive and well...so much so that I haven’t had/taken time to slow down enough to sit and post. Lots of good things filling my time...a visit from one of my favorite people in the world, going deep with our home fellowship group to discuss and apply our wonderful weekly sermons, attending women’s Biblestudy to dig deep into the treasures of God’s Word, praying with my group of marvelous mamas for Moms in Prayer, hours of high school ministry pouring into, loving on, discipling a whole bunch of awesome teens at our home, church, the beach, out and about sharing fun, the gospel, life, etc...some of my favorite times have been DoorDashing with my permitted 15 yo to get hours behind the wheel, money in his pocket & time together, an amazing lunch connecting with and having the privilege of hearing the heart of my wonderful, witty, spiritual maturing 17 yo, a sweet walk to coffee with his precious girlfriend getting to know her better and of course a marvelous beachfront dinner date with the love of my life celebrating 21 years together growing in our knowledge of and love for each other and our great God, from whom all these beautiful blessings flow!

I’m signing off to hit the hay with a heart full of praise and thanksgiving, humbled by and grateful for the abundant love & amazing grace of my Savior!

God is Good!

Well I’m finally back. I have written SO many mental posts with updates and what’s God been teaching me!! Then when I finally get a minute to actually take them out of my mind and onto the screen, my mind bottlenecks and gets overwhelmed with all I want & need to write...it exhausts me & I end up concluding that I’m too tired and don’t have time to transcribe all that’s in my mind onto digital paper. But as I sit here alone at the Denver airport on a long layover en route to Atlanta to celebrate my sisters 50th, I’m starting! We both have September birthdays, hers being on the 10th. We decided to save the celebrating til my chemo was complete, hence the delayed timing of the trip. My younger sister who lives here in Colorado is on her way to meet me and we’ll fly this leg if the trip together! And my parents are traveling from Michigan to meet us as well! How crazy (& sad!) that we are all spread out across the country, coast to coast, north to south- we are so close r...

Song in my Soul

Song in my Soul by Phil Wickham A dear friend sent this to me with her daily encouragement & prayer...I loved it from the first time I heard it! I hope you will too! There's a song in my soul ( how music goes deep into the core of who we are!) And I feel it stirring in me ( springing up from the well of His Word to satisfy the thirsty, he who drinks the Living Water will never thirst again!) This I know for sure ( faith is the assurance of what we know but don’t see) That Your love is like a flood ( washing & washing over me ! And Your mercy never ending ( “ The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬)  I give my song to You ( “ Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants...Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastl...
