Song for the Soul: This is What We Live For

I heard this song by Big Daddy Weave the other day for the first time. I instantly loved it with the energy of the tune & the power of the lyrics! I was rocking out to it tonight as I cleaned up the backyard for the 40-50 freshman from our church youth group coming over tomorrow night to spark their hearts with the Great Commission & the power of living it out! THIS IS truly what I live for! And the cancer journey is just refining me & giving me more opportunities to shine even brighter for Him!

“What can I do with this fire on the inside? (Set my world  ablaze with the fire of His Holy Spirit living within me! I don’t want to quench it but stoke the flames bigger & brighter)

I'm burnin' up with a truth I can't hide (the Refiners fire consuming me & lighting my way like a torch.  “so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭ “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭

You're the reason for this hope in my life (& the next, now & forever! “...we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans‬ ‭5:3-5‬ ‭

I'm gonna let it shine (I choose to shine His light brightly for the world to see clearly to find their way to Him!

I have to let it shine (I can’t & wont “hide it under a bushel. No!”)

This is what we live for (Amen! What greater purpose could the lives He’s created in us have?!

To let the whole world know (“And Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭

You're the Light in the darkness “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”John‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭

This is what we live for (it is our very life & purpose in Him with eternal benefits & blessings!)

To love the way You love (““This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”John‬ ‭15:12‬ ‭
So God be lifted be up (may Your name be high & lifted up!)
Come be Light in the darkness “ Jesus (said), “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭

When You speak, God, You shut down every lie God IS truth. In Him there is nothing false. “Jesus said to those who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭
You're the reason for this hope in our lives...a living hope (1 Peter 1:3) worth living for! A sure & steadfast anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19), “the God of hope fill (us) with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit (we) may abound in hope.” Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭

I'm gonna testify, I have to testify... “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,” 1 Peter‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭
